On March 12-14, 2013, Lenexpo in St. Petersburg will host the annual St. Petersburg Technical Fair – PTFair, which includes international exhibitions and conferences on metallurgy, metalworking, mechanical engineering, automotive industry and industrial innovations. St. Petersburg Technical Fair is a traditional large-scale event intended to promote experience exchange and demonstrate the latest achievements of the real sector of economy.

The 2013 PTFair exposition will become a showcase for the following sectors: metalworking, metallurgy and casting; mechanical engineering; compressors, pumps, valves and accessories; non-metals for industrial purposes; services for industrial enterprises; high technologies, innovations, investments (Hi-Tech), and is to take up halls 7, 8a and 8 of Lenexpo Exhibition Complex with a total gross exhibition space of 14200 sqm. The nations to be presented are Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Israel, India, Spain, Italy, China, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, USA, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, and Japan.

St. Petersburg Technical Fair is not only a professional venue designed to show industrial and scientific opportunities of the region, but also the platform for discussing the most topical issues of the industry sector.

St. Petersburg Industrial Congress, where experts exchange experience, consider the most urgent questions of the real sector of economy and determine tasks for the future, forms the core of business programme of the Fair. Plenary session ‘Global supply chains in industry’, as well as top industrial managers’ assembly ‘Modernisation of production facilities as the way towards raising competitiveness of an industrial enterprise’ will be held within the frames of St. Petersburg Industrial Congress. The events to be held within the frames of the Congress covering R&D issues, customs legislation, supply and production, innovative, hybrid and alternative technologies, new materials, recent trends on markets, case studies, industrial and cluster policy.

This year in the framework of St. Petersburg Technical Fair the International Specialised Conference and Exhibition AUTOPROM Russia 2013 is to be held for the first time. It is the only event for further development of an automotive-component supply chain and all industry players in Russia.

AUTOPROM Russia 2013 confex expects more than 150 Russian and foreign enterprises, including prominent OEM, OES companies, delegations of key Russian automotive clusters, suppliers, manufacturers of materials and engineering equipment, developers of design software, universities, research institutes, trade and business media. It will focus on the latest topics trending in the global automobile market. Furthermore the programme offers a wide range of issues for discussion: global supply chains in industry; global automotive market; requirements to the OEM market players; customs regulation, simplified customs procedures; industry-related legislation and certification; implementation of international integration of Russian clusters; European network of road construction strategy; hybrid and alternative technologies; future of automobile industry; national and international research facilities; R&D synergy and others.

This year PTFair shares the same venue with the 3rd BLECH Russia and first ever Fastener Fair Russia organised by Restec Brooks, a joint venture between Mack Brooks Exhibitions and RESTEC® Exhibition Company.

Last year St. Petersburg Technical Fair 2012 surpassed all previous projects by the level of business events and the number of participants and visitors. Nearly 600 leading companies from 16 countries of the world including Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Finland, Romania, Hungary, and Germany displayed their latest industrial developments, holding overall exhibition space of 7,760 sq. m. Approximately 8 700 experts visited the events of St. Petersburg Technical Fair this year. “Holding such a large-scale business and exhibition event in our city has become a good tradition. Representatives of the leading Russian and foreign companies converge annually on the shores of the Neva to exchange experience and demonstrate their opportunities.
